Gretchen's new website provides her visitors with all the tools they need to find out everything they want to know (lyrics, notes, song samples) and multiple ways to stay connected (blog, forum, mailing list, FaceBook, twitter, MySpace and more). Guy Clark Website

Guy Clark Website

Guy Clark is a true national treasure and folk icon, a legendary songwriter who doesn't merely compose songs; he projects images and characters with the kind of hands-on care and respect of a literary master. We've been fans of Clark since his classic first album, Old No. 1, was released in 1975 (that's 34 years ago!), so it was a real pleasure to work on this site. Clark has a brand new album, Somedays The Song Writes You, available September 22. His new site provides a one-stop information and entertainment source for all visitors: fans, press, media, etc. All of Clark's albums feature streaming jukeboxs where visitors can listen to every song in their entirety. Social media links, tour dates, news items, photos, videos, downloads, it's all here. Find out more about this site.

Ernie Hendrickson Website

CASE Awards

Ernie Hendrickson is a fine Americana singer-songwriter from Chicago. His new album, Walking With Angels, is due out in October. He wanted to make sure that a new, completely overhauled website was in place well before the launch of the new album. We worked with Hendrickson, using artwork from the new album, to put together a website that should serve him well for quite some time. Social media links (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, SonicBids and Reverbnation) are give prominent positioning on the Home page and featured on every other page throughout the site. Visitors can find everything they might be looking for, be it song samples, videos, photos, tour dates or news items. Find out more about this site.

CASE Awards

DVM, along with BURN, won two Merit awards at the first annual AIGA Nashville CASE Awards. The awards were for our George Canyon and The Roys websites. Both websites were designed by Torne White at BURN and we here at DVM coded, authored and built the sites based on Torne's design. The CASE Awards celebrate and reward effective visual communication in the Nashville Area. They are a showcase for the best local talent, showcasing identity, print, web & interactive, motion, photography, & illustration works. The show is also unique because it is the only show that allows members of the organization to be a judge. AIGA members participated in the member judging event and had a hand in the process.

Rob Blackledge Website

Rob Blackledge Website

Rob Blackledge is an exciting new artist who's debut album, Inside These Walls, is due to be released by One Revolution Entertainment this fall. Blackledge is a very interesting artist (he was a high school baseball star) who has made a terrific album. In the summer of 2008, Blackledge met Dean Miller and Iris Thompson and quickly signed with their One Revolution Entertainment. Blackledge wrote or co-wrote every song on his debut album, which was produced by Jeff Coplan (The Moffats, Love And Theft). His music fits the mold of intelligently crafted pop songs along the lines of James Taylor and Guster, but he breaks out of the box with his driving melodies, charismatic vocals, and refreshingly jazz-influenced tunes. His website keeps fans and media connected and up to date with everything Rob. Find out more about this site.

Nathan Lee Website

Nathan Lee Website

Nathan Lee is releasing his first album, Risk Everything, through One Revolution Entertainment this summer. Getting his website up and running several months in advance was a big priority for the label, as they really understand the importance of building a fanbase from the very beginning. While Nathan is plugged into Twitter, FaceBook, MySpace and other social networking sites (links to all of which are prominently featured on his site), his own website is the hub for everything happening with him and his music throughout the web. Nathan had some very specific ideas about how he wanted his website to look. We had a lot of great photos (by Michael Gomez) to work with and with these photos and Nathan's ideas we came up with a design and layout that reflects the passion and intensity of Nathan's music. Anthony Smith Website

Anthony Smith Website

Anthony Smith is a new artist just signed to the recently launched Stroudavarious Record label out of Nashville. With a new release coming this summer the label needed a temporary site until the full site is ready to launch. They wanted more than a simple "coming soon" page though. We worked on this site with our friend Torne White at Burn Design. Torne did all the design and we built and coded the site in Flash to provide action, movement and animation. The result catches your attention and gives you a good visual idea of what expect from Smith's music. The site also includes a jukebox to listen to several songs and a signup form for his mailing list. Find out more about this site.

One Revolution Entertainment Website

Anesthesia Medical Group

It's always great to be involved with a company from the beginning. The folks at One Revolution Entertainment are doing some very cool stuff and we had the privelege of building their website for them. The company was launched on April 21, 2009 with a huge party at ICON in Nashville. They've signed two new artists, Nathan Lee and Rob Blackledge (we're also working on sites for both of them) who will have albums out shortly. In addition to music they are also involved in Music Publishing, Media Production and Distribution and Artist Development. Find out more about this site.

Eilen Jewell eCard

One of the rising stars of a new generation of roots musicians, Eilen Jewel just released a new album for Signature Sounds titled Sea Of Tears. Born in Boise, ID and raised in Boston, Jewell writes understated, yet insightful songs with a rugged blend of Americana styles, including folks, country, western swing, rockabilly, rock and even jazz. The new album has some fantastic artwork and we built an eCard based around this artwork to help promote the CD and upcoming tour dates. View the eCard on our eCards & Flash Design page.

Blue Mile Design Website

Dan Harding does a lot of great design work, much of it for the music business. He designs CD packages, promotional pieces and ads, logos and much more. Like many designers he never could seem to find the time to put together a website to showcase his own work. It seems he was always too busy working on someone else's project. Harding (also like many other designers) knew the value of a website and finally made the push to get his own on line. He designed the look and feel of the site and we built and coded it so it functioned and worked exactly like he wanted. Learn more.

Sometymes Why eCard

Sometymes Why is a mesmerizing trio of modern-day sirens with a new CD on Signature Sounds. Kristin Andreassen, Ruth Ungar Merenda and Aoife O'Donovan have honed their recipe for ruthless tenderness with utter disregard for conformity or convention. Their songs tell the secret tales of our own lives and beg us to believe in the power of revelation. Their vocal intensity, sparse arrangements, and passionate lyricism whirl into the air and cut a cyclone's path through the heart. To help spread the word about the CD and the group we built a custom eCard that showcases the release. View the eCard on our eCards & Flash Design page.

Tamara Reynolds Photography Site

February 6, 2009

Tamara Reynolds Photography Website

Tamara Reynolds is a fantastic photographer from Nashville. She needed a site that would focus on her photography and not clutter up the impact of the photos with too much other stuff. The layout for this site was designed by Janice Benight. To achieve the functionality and effects that Tamara wanted, the entire site was built in Flash. This allowed for the animated thumbnails entry and the ability to easily switch back and forth between "normal" sized images and "supersized" images. The thumbnails and images are loaded dynamically via an XML file. Additionally, the "Home" page dynamically loads one of five different images so that visitors are constantly presented with a different example of Reynold's photography. Anesthesia Medical Group (AMG) is a 61 physician, 219 certified registered nurse anesthetist, anesthesia practice serving the greater Nashville community. AMG provides anesthesia services on the Baptist, Centennial, St. Thomas, Summit, and Williamson medical center campuses. The company was looking for a new website design that cleanly reflected the look and feel of the company in an inviting way. The site also needed to provide lots of basic information for visitors regarding, billing, insurance, services offered, hostpitals served, etc. We worked closely with the company to make sure that the final site represented their business accurately and also provided visitors with the ability to find the information they were searching for quickly and easily. Our New Website

January 19, 2009

Well, here it is, our new website. It's been over six years since I launched Digital Vision Media and a new website was way overdue. It seemed one thing or another always got in the way of designing and building a new website for DVM. Afterall, the clients always need to come first and I've just been so busy with projects that I never found the time to work on our own website. Finally, I just couldn't take it anymore and made a determined effort to set aside some time each day to get a new website together. I've been working on it for the last few months and it's finally ready to launch.

redpepperLand

December 18, 2008

Mark Erelli

redpepper is an amazing marketing and advertising firm in Nashville that I really admire. They've just launched a brand new website built entirely with WordPress. Neely Catignani at redpepper did the design and I coded and built everything. This is by far the most complex WordPress design I've done to date. We really turned the program inside out to get it to do some amazing things. redpepperLand is basically five blogs in one with a ton of content. In addition to the various blogs there is also a fairly extensive Portfolio, Contact information with embedded Google Maps, downloadable wallpapers and banners and much, much more. Learn more.

George Canyon Site

December 7, 2008

George Canyon

Torne White is an award winning graphic designer in Nashville with a unique style that sets him apart from everyone else. Over the past few years DVM has partnererd with his company, Burn, to build and develop several websites for musical artists, including Keith Urban, The Roys and Jill King. Often times Torne will design a CD package for the artist and convert that artwork into a complementary website design that provides especially strong branding for the artist. We take his designs and do all the "heavy lifting," coding, building and authoring the actual websites. George Canyon, a great country artist from Canada, is our latest project. Find out more.

Mark Erelli

If you know anything about the current folk/singer-songwriter scene then you've probably heard Mark Erelli. He's a superb artist signed to Signature Sounds, one of today's foremost independent record labels working with acoustic, folk and singer-songwriter artists. In the last ten years Erelli has released six outstanding albums and his seventh, Delivered, is due for released in September. Signature Sounds was looking for a powerful, cost effective way to promote the the upcoming release and a eCard was the perfect solution. Erelli's eCard provides the label with a quick way to "introduce" the album (and the artist) to radio, press, venues and other contacts. Recipients can listen to songs form the new album, view photos, read what Erelli has to say about each of the songs and even "Tell A Friend" about the eCard. View the eCard on our eCards & Flash Design page.

Jenny Kerr Site

July 21, 2008

Jenny Kerr

San Francisco native Jenny Kerr has been wowing audiences throughout the US and Europe for several years now. She had reached a point in her career where she needed a website that better represented and reflected the high quality and professionalism she maintained throughout her music and live performances. We designed and built a site for her showcases her enormous talents and skills and provides visitors with easy to find information. Her site contains many of the sections and pages you would expect to find on a musician's site: news, tour, bio, reviews, mailing list and contacts. Additionally, a music section allows visitors to listen to each of the songs on her three albums and a video section showcases some outstanding live performances taped in Europe. There's also a store that connects to PayPal, an online press kit where media folks can download images and files and a place for fans to sign up for a mailing list. Jenny is able to easily update all her news and tour information with the custom Admin section we built for her. Find out more about this great artist and site.

Professor RJ Ross Site

Professor RJ Ross

RJ Ross has been playing piano, singing, writing and arranging since he was an eleven year-old prodigy in Detroit. As midi expert and in-house keyboard player at the world-famous Fantasy Studios, he worked with Jeffrey Osborne, Eddie Money, MC Hammer, Tupac Shakur and many others. Ross needed a new website in conjuction with the release of his latest album, Face To Face. DVM worked with Zen Jam Graphic Design (who did the design) on this site to help make sure that all of Ross' web requirements were met. The site features Flash menus and graphics and a wide array of features, including advanced jukeboxes, photo galleries, a digital EPK and, of course, a custom made Admin section where Ross can easily update his tour and news information.
