In contemporary country music, it's a rare performer who will dare to take on the industry on her own hogs-and-kisses terms. But for Elizabeth Cook, whom Nanci Griffith has called "this generation's Loretta Lynn," it takes a certain tenacity to meld smart attitude with classic tradition, the credibility of a life lived with genuine hillbilly passion, and the integrity to write an acclaimed cache of uncommonly cool songs.
Elizabeth came to us at a crucial point in her carerr. Her new album, Balls, was to be released soon and she needed a professional website that reflected the qualityand passion she pours into her music, songwriting and career. She had just completed a fantastic photo shoot for the album packaging and we used those photos, as well as elements from the booklet to build her a site that complimented the design and style of the new CD while still remaining distinct and unique.
Cooks's site features a Home Page that displays the most current tour dates and news. Along with the normal biographic information the site lets visitors listen to song samples from each of her albums and view several videos. There's an interactive Photo Gallery (which she can update herself) and she collects information for her Mailing List via a custom interface that saves the information in an online database. Her News page and Tour page are easily updatable by her via a custom Admin section we built. An online Press Kit provides media and venues with many downloadable images and documents. Her store carries a wide range of CDs and merchandise that connects to CDBaby for processing.
