Gretchen Peters has long been known as one of the best songwriters in Nashville (or anywhere else for that matter). She's written hit songs for everyone from Martina McBride ("Independence Day") to Patty Loveless ("You Don't Even Know Who I Am") to George Strait ("Chill Of An Early Fall") to Bryan Adams ("Low Life"). She's been nominated for both a Grammy and a Golden Globe Award. She's also an incredible singer and performer with seven stellar albums of her own (as well as the recently released best of album Circus Girl). Peters has always shown an uncanny ability to capture the stories of people - especially women - who feel trapped in hope-draining situations. With her 2007 album, Burnt Toast & Offerings, she mined her own life - the disintegration of her twenty-year marriage and risk-taking on a new love - for just such affecting vignettes, and set a new high watermark for her songwriting.

Gretchen's new website provides her visitors with all the tools they need to find out everything they want to know (lyrics, notes, song samples) and multiple ways to stay connected (blog, forum, mailing list, FaceBook, twitter, MySpace and more). News and Tour pages are easily updated by Peters using our custom built Admin section. Photos and Videos can be easily uploaded using SlideShowPro. Her store connects with CCNow for processing. The blog is built using WordPress and the forum using phpBB. All mailing list entries are collected in an online MySQL database and each month Peters sends out a custom designed newsletter.

One of the most popular sections of Peters' website is her Free Download Of The Month. Visitors can register an email and a password and then they have access to a new MP3 file each month. Some are live performances, some are demos or other unique, exclusive recordings. These downloads help to drive lots and lots of traffic to her site and keep regular visitors coming back month after month.
