With her compassionate tone and sometimes-quirky approach, Kate Campbell has made a musical niche for herself telling stories exploring the complex topics of race, religion, history and human relationships. It started with her award-winning debut record, 1995's Songs from the Levee, and continues with her latest offering, Save the Day. The new project also includes shades of Kate's entire musical history -- running the gamut from R&B and pop rhythms to gospel, country and folk sounds.
We've been working with Kate Campbell in one form or another for almost 15 years so we feel like we have a good understanding of her music, her fanbase and her approach to the music business. We first built a website for Kate back in 2003. Since then, whenever she releases a new album, we give the website a visual "overhaul," changing the color scheme, the graphics and the images to match the look and feel of her new album. Most of the underlying HTML code remains the same and the basic structure of the site remains intact, but it serves to give the site a "fresh coat of paint" that subtly conveys to visitors that something new is happening.
Kate's site contains a wealth of information about her and her music, including lyrics, reviews and song samples for all of her twelve albums, sheet music information and online booking forms to aid those wanting to book Kate. Tour date information (easily updatable by anyone in Kate's camp) and news, along with contact information and an in-depth biography are available. There's also an online store and a digital press kit which provides downloadable materials for press and media contacts.
