Pam Tillis is a superstar as well as a survivor. A child of Music City royalty and a former rebel, she was determined to find her own way as a singer and songwriter — and she succeeded. A CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, she has written songs for some of the top singers in and beyond Nashville, including more than a few of her own hits. She knows what it's like to break the platinum barrier, to top the singles charts time and again, to bask in an ovation at her induction as a member of the Opry or play in the intimate hush of the Bluebird Café. She has bathed in the lights of Broadway, posed for glamour magazine spreads, sung ballads in Bay Area bistros, batted wicked one-liners back to Tom Bergeron on Hollywood Squares, even made cameos in movies.
Tillis was at a very important point in her career when we were hired to build this site. She was about to release one of her most important albums ever, Rhinestoned, and she was doing it herself, on her own label. We worked closely with her management to make sure that the website not only represented Tillis in the manner which they desired, but that it also contained all the elements and features they needed.
Tillis' site features unique Flash design on the home page by creating clouds that move slowly behind her figure. Visitors can listen to music from many of Tillis' albums and view over a dozen videos, all high quality. Tillis's site also contains a custom built Fan Club where fans can gain access to exclusive materials such as videos, messages from Tillis, unreleased songs, etc. There is a "free" version and a "paid" version. Tour dates and news items are controlled via a custom built Content Management System (which she can update). A full fledged online store allows Tillis to add, delete and edit any of the items she sells and since the store is her own operation she doesn't pay any percentages of sales to a third party. She also has a "protected" Media Kit which is only available to those who have the correct password.
