Tamara Reynolds was born and raised in Nashville and still calls it home. She shoots people, portraiture and lifestyle, as well as moody environmental scenes and collages. The treatement of her subjects comes through as a warm sensitivity in her photos. She has shot such celebrities as Morgan Freeman, Johnny Cash, Al Green as well as everyday people and heroes. Her work has been featured in various magazines such as People, US, Rolling Stone and The New York Times Magazine. She has also worked on advertising projects for companies such as Dell, Publix, BellSouth, Nextel and The Weather Channel.
Reynolds has also illustrated many stories for books and magazines, such as the book, The Good Road. She's contributed photographic illustrations for charitable foundations such as Discipleship Journal, Aspire, Clarity, Ronald McDonald House, Kennedy Center and The Alber Schweitzer Foundation.
The layout for this site was designed by Janice Benight. Once the pages were laid out the way Reynolds wanted we took over and coded, authored and built the final site. To achieve the effects requested we built the entire site in Flash. This allowed for the animated thumbnails entry and the ability to easily switch back and forth between "normal" sized images and "supersized" images. The thumbnails and images are loaded dynamically via an XML file. Additionally, the "Home" page dynamically loads one of five different images so that visitors are constantly presented with a different example of Reynold's photography.
